If you mention the name Callaway Golf people know what you are talking about. A few years back though that wasn't the case. In 1982 Ely Callaway started Callaway Golf with an idea and a promise to make the best equipment for golfers. Now these were bold statement from a guy who sold his winery to become a golf club maker. He first bought a company called Hickory Stick USA and named it Callaway Hickory Stick USA and the berth of Callaway Golf was formed.

Callaway Golf went through many growing pains, but it didn't deter Ely Callaway as he kept forging ahead and now is considered the premier club maker. One of his finest inventions was the Big bertha Driver which actually put his company on the map. Callaway Golf is also known for invention Fusion technology and the Opt-Fit System.

Eventually Callaway Golf kept improving their equipment from Callaway golf clubs to Callaway golf balls to become one of the premier golf supplying companies in the world.

They have become the best club maker and their putter is used more than any other putter in the world. Callaway golf has become a household name fairly quickly and with the ability to improve their golf clubs every year Callaway Golf has nowhere to go but up. Probably the biggest coop for the Callaway Golf was when they lured Roger Cleveland away who was famous for the Cleveland brand wedges that people love. Callaway Golf wasn't without some problems though.

When they introduced the Callaway Golf Balls which was a success, but put a real strain on the financial end for Callaway Golf. They made it through that and look poised to continue their success in the Golf Arena. Callaway Golf has now branched off into promotional advertising with some of the best golfing greats to ever play the game. Callaway Golf has and continues to improve their offerings to the general public and it looks like that will continue in the future. One of the things that Callaway Golf has stood for and that is quality and it looks like that will never change.
