One of the few companies around that actually make golf equipment affordable for the average golfer is Dunlop golf. In today's world of higher prices Dunlop Golf is carving out a niche for the average to medium size golfer. Dunlop Golf motto has ben for a very long time now to make affordable products for the everyday golfer, but also making top of the line equipment for the competitive golfer. Dunlop golf has been trying to find a happy medium between the both.
Dunlop Golf has adopted two different policies that most golf companies don't. First they make everything in their own factories and no outsourcing of golf balls is done. This makes Dunlop golf balls some of the best around as they can closely monitor the quality of their production. Many companies don't do this thus really not knowing how good the quality was on each batch that are shipped to them. The second big difference is they don't pay Tour players to use their products.
When most golf companies pay extremely high dollars to PGA golf professionals Dunlop Golf has taken the high road and decided against it. Maybe in the long run that is a very good idea. When you pay someone to represent your company and they get into trouble you are really the one that takes most of the flack. Without spending dollars on players they can put it back into their products which each year seem to get better.
Dunlop Golf for the longest time has taken pride in the products that they have made. Many of their products are catered to the individual who doesn't have alot of money to spend, but still wants to enjoy the game of golf. I don't look for that to change anytime soon. One variation though that Dunlop Golf has done recently is make more high end products that are still very affordable. This should let them capture more of a market share and get their products in alot more hands. In the future it looks like Dunlop Golf will just keep what they are doing for they have done it for a very long time now. Dunlop Golf might not be a household name yet, but they sure are working on it. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon than later.
